Events and Services

The Los Gatos Center holds meditation and reading services every Sunday, and every second Thursday of each month. The Center also offers Sunday school classes for children ages 3 and up. All of our meditation and lecture services are open to the public. All sincere seekers are invited to attend the services and special events and to bring their children to the Center's Sunday School program. Our Services include periods of silent meditation, devotional chanting and inspirational reading.

Paramahansa Yogananda insisted on group meditation and said "Group meditation is a castle that protects the new spiritual aspirants as well as the veteran meditators. Meditating together increases the degree of Self-realization of each member of the group by the law of invisible vibratory exchange of group magnetism."

Commemorative Services

The Los Gatos Center observes the following commemorative services designed to honor the gurus of Self Realization. The service usually begins with a meditation at 7:00 PM which is followed at 8:00 PM by the commemorative service. We also hold a long meditation on the closest Saturday to the commemorative service.

Retreats

The Los Gatos Center warmly invites all students and members of Self-Realization Fellowship to a silent, monastic guided retreat, which takes place yearly in October. You can download the Retreat Registration Form at this link, and the Scholarship Application Form at this link. These forms can be printed, filled out, and returned to the Center.

Friends and members of the Los Gatos Center are also welcome to attend any of the Self-Realization Fellowship retreats-several of which are held in California. The nearby Walnut Creek Temple hosts a retreat in May; several SF Temples and Centers in southern California also host year-round retreats.
