Monastic Visit ~ MAY 21-24
Two SRF monks will visit the Los Gatos Center May 21 – May 24. The monks will conduct the regularly scheduled Thursday evening service on May 21 and the Sunday morning services on May 24.
A midmorning hike and lunch has been scheduled for Friday, May 22, at Rancho San Antonio County Park. There are many parking lots, and it is easy to walk from one parking lot to the other. Though parking lots are huge, it is a very popular park, so do allow extra time for finding parking in time for a 10:15 a.m. start. Bring your own lunch and something to drink. Please RSVP to Nitya Siganporia .
The monks will lead a three-hour evening meditation on Saturday, May 23, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
After the Sunday morning services, all are welcome to stay for fellowship and a vegetarian potluck luncheon on the side deck. For the vegetarian potluck luncheon, please bring a dish you would like to share and leave in the kitchen prior to the morning services.

New council members needed ~ ongoing
Did you know that the Los Gatos Center managing council is made up of seven members? The term limits are generally 3+ years, and council positions are a wonderful opportunity to contribute service, feedback, and guidance to this Center, in addition to gaining deeper insights and appreciation both at the Los Gatos Center and behind the scenes at Self-Realization Fellowship in general.
There are some council positions opening up soon, and we invite any interested and qualified Kriyaban devotees to submit their names for the application process. All qualified applicants will be reviewed by both the current managing council as well as our monastic liaison before any approvals are made. If you know of devotees whom you think would be good candidates for the managing council, please submit their names for review and one or more of the current council members will reach out to ascertain interest. Once approved, training will be provided. For more information on this blessed opportunity, please contact Center Coordinator, Greg Barsten .

Save the Date! Fall Retreat in October
Save the date! The Los Gatos Center will be hosting a monastic-led weekend retreat this fall, October 2 - 4 at the Jesuit Retreat Center in Los Altos. Priority registrations for devotees within the Los Gatos Center attendance area will start Sunday July 5. Registrations for devotees from all areas will start Sunday August 2. Registration and scholarship forms will be available on the website and at the Center starting July 5.
Volunteering at the Los Gatos Center
If you have been attending services at the Los Gatos Center regularly over a period of months and are a current SRF Lessons student, please consider volunteering at the center. Certain roles, such as being a service reader or a Sunday School or Teen Group teacher, require a volunteer to be a Kriyaban. Other roles such as Flowers or refreshments have no such requirements.
An online volunteer application is available here. At this time, the greatest need is for ushers, Sunday School assistants, refreshments servers, and volunteers who are interested in making floral arrangements. Services at Los Gatos Center cannot take place without the ongoing support of all of our volunteers.
