One-day Monastic Visit ~ MAY 10
A one-day monastic visit has just been scheduled for Sunday, May 10. The SRF minister will conduct the morning services followed by a short presentation highlighting SRF’s new growth phase, focusing on outreach, present & future activities, and contribution options. After the presentation, all are welcome to stay for fellowship and a catered luncheon on the side deck.
Honoring Swami Sri Yukteshwar’s birth ~ MAY 10
On May 10, we will honor the birth anniversary of Swami Sri Yukteshwar starting at 7:00 p.m. with a period of meditation and at 8:00 p.m. with the traditional commemorative service. Please bring your own flower and a monetary donation in an envelope as offerings to our Paramguru. Young children are welcome to attend the flower offering with their parents. Older children and teens may enjoy the commemorative service at the discretion of their parents.
Monastic Visit ~ MAY 21-24
Two SRF monks will visit the Los Gatos Center May 21 – May 24. The monks will conduct the regularly scheduled Thursday evening service on May 21 and the Sunday morning services on May 24. In addition, a monastic-led Saturday evening meditation service will be held on May 23 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. After the Sunday morning services, all are welcome to stay for fellowship and a vegetarian potluck luncheon on the side deck.
6-hour meditation honoring Swami Sri Yukteshwar ~ MAY 16
On Saturday, May 16, a six-hour commemorative meditation with kirtan to honor the birth and life of Swami Sri Yukteshwar will be held at the Los Gatos Center. This service starts at 10:00 a.m. with the practice of the Energization Exercises. A break takes place midway at 1:00 p.m. This service concludes at 4:00 p.m.
New council members needed ~ ongoing
Did you know that the Los Gatos Center managing council is made up of seven members? The term limits are generally 3+ years, and council positions are a wonderful opportunity to contribute service, feedback, and guidance to this Center, in addition to gaining deeper insights and appreciation both at the Los Gatos Center and behind the scenes at Self-Realization Fellowship in general.
There are some council positions opening up soon, and we invite any interested and qualified Kriyaban devotees to submit their names for the application process. All qualified applicants will be reviewed by both the current managing council as well as our monastic liaison before any approvals are made. If you know of devotees whom you think would be good candidates for the managing council, please submit their names for review and one or more of the current council members will reach out to ascertain interest. Once approved, training will be provided. For more information on this blessed opportunity, please contact Center Coordinator, Greg Barsten (gregbarsten123@gmail.com).

Bookroom closed ~ MAY 10
The bookroom, located downstairs at the Los Gatos Center, is open every Sunday from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. Because of the special presentation by Brother Ritananda taking place at 12:15 p.m. on May 10, the bookroom will be closed on that particular Sunday.
Volunteering at the Los Gatos Center
If you have been attending services at the Los Gatos Center regularly over a period of months and are a current SRF Lessons student, please consider volunteering at the center. Certain roles, such as being a service reader or a Sunday School or Teen Group teacher, require a volunteer to be a Kriyaban. Other roles such as Flowers or refreshments have no such requirements.
An online volunteer application is available here. At this time, the greatest need is for ushers, Sunday School assistants, refreshments servers, and volunteers who are interested in making floral arrangements. Services at Los Gatos Center cannot take place without the ongoing support of all of our volunteers.
