Welcome to the Los Gatos Center of Self-Realization Fellowship.
Los Gatos Center is a branch of Self-Realization Fellowship, founded by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1920, with international headquarters in Los Angeles.
Los Gatos Center serves families and friends in the heart of Silicon Valley, which includes Santa Clara county and the neighboring counties of Santa Cruz, San Mateo and Alameda. The Center is open to the public during the weekly services. Los Gatos Center holds regular meditation and reading services 3 days of the week all of which are open to the public. Sunday School activities are available for children ages 3 and up. All are invited to attend our services and special events, and children are welcome to participate in the Sunday School program.
Paramahansa Yogananda founded Self-Realization Fellowship also known as SRF in 1920 to make available the universal teachings of Kriya Yoga, a sacred spiritual science originating millenniums ago in India.
Paramahansa Yogananda's society is known in India as Yogoda Satsanga Society, or YSS of India.
Central to Paramahansa Yogananda's teachings, which embody a complete philosophy and way of life, are scientific techniques of concentration and meditation that lead to the direct personal experience of God.
Weekly SRF lessons are available to those who would like to study the SRF teachings. These are sent from the SRF international headquarters in Los Angeles, California. The lessons contain techniques for recharging the body, concentration and meditation, and the higher meditation technique of Kriya Yoga, as well as instructions on how to live a balanced material and spiritual life.

As an introduction, we suggest that you read Paramahansa Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi. Copies of this spiritual classic are available in the online catalog, in the Book Room at the Center or through most bookstores and libraries. |
